How does the meat come packaged?


All our meat comes packaged in our special thermoforming machine, the meat is essentially cryovac onto trays- this gives it’s a longer shelf life (so if freezer space is an issue don’t worry it will last in the fridge 3-4 weeks), prevents freezer burn & leakage. The trays also stack extremely well so they take up very little room.
All meat is portion packaged in trays to suit 2 people, larger families may need to take out 2 trays for meals or ask us about customising the packaging to suit your family needs.
It is all labelled with what cut it is & we have different coloured labels for each type of meat for easy identification when looking through your fridge/freezer.

 

How long does it last in the fridge? freezer? 

Steaks, Chops, Cutlets, Ribs, Roasts, Brisket can be left in the fridge for 3-4 weeks (if you can resist eating it before then) before using or freezing.

Sausages, Mince & Chicken cuts we recommend leaving in the fridge for 3-4 days before using or freezing.

Once frozen we suggest referring to your freezer guidelines for the best time frame to use the meat within (most are 6-12 months).

 

How it is delivered?

All orders will be delivered in refrigerated vans or trucks, each order comes in fully insulated containers with an ice gel pack inside.

Within a few days of ordering you will receive an email from Megan which advises an approximate delivery date for your order, then as time gets closer you will then receive a text message from Megan with an exact delivery date.

The night before delivery or the morning of delivery you will receive via SMS a tracking link from the couriers which will give you an ETA (this is constantly updated throughout the day), once your delivery has been made you will receive an SMS advising you that it has been delivered.

It is best if we deliver to your home so you can place the meat straight into your fridge or freezer, however if need be we can deliver to your workplace or leave the delivery in a designated location & once you receive the delivered text we advise you attempt to have it put into a fridge/freezer within 1-2 hours.

 

Where do you deliver?

We now deliver  across NSW, ACT, QLD, VIC, SA & NT. If you would like us to check your postcode please just send us a message and we will double check for you. 

Can cuts be left out or swap them? Can you customise your own box?

If you would like to leave particulars cuts out of a pack or swap them with something else please put a note in the comment section when ordering we are able to accommodate most requests.

 We don’t do customise your own box because as the farmers it is important to us that the whole animal gets used & it is much more sustainable. We include recipes for those cuts that are a little different that people may not be use to eating, we are passionate about teaching people how to use the cuts they may not have ever had & that they can be just as delicious as the premium cuts.

 

Why does it take 2 weeks for delivery?

As the farmers we are very passionate about not having any wastage/unnecessarily having animals killed so we only process the animals required for the orders we have, this also means that you are getting the freshest meat possible you aren’t getting meat that was cut up weeks ago it was cut up within days of coming to you!

 

Do we offer payment plans?

Yes we can offer payment plans, the order does need to be paid off before it is delivered though. So you can nominate to start a payment plan (pay a certain amount weekly/fortnightly/monthly) & once that plan is done you will receive your meat. A lot of customers pay for their first order upfront then go onto payments plans so they are only paying a small amount each week & once they have finished eating their first pack their next will arrive.

 

Is our meat organic?

We are not certified organic but we don't use hormones or antibiotics. We try to use very little chemicals but if we do it is to spray weeds that are more harmful to the cattle if ingested than anything else.

However we do spell the paddock so we spray while that is happening so that they cannot eat anything that has been sprayed.

 

Are our animals fed grass or grain?

They are both- they have access to grass & grain at all time. Contrary to popular belief with access to both they don't stand at the feeders all day eating grain they spend a lot of time grazing. The grain is all mixed on site at the farm so we have 100% control over what goes into it & Farmer Trev has worked on the 'recipe' for many many years to get it perfect.

Interestingly though as per MSA (Meat Standard Australia) if we were to sell our meat through a butcher or supermarket it would be classed as grass fed- so don’t believe everything you hear or all the labels on the food you buy!

 

Can I cancel my order?

If you cancel your order within 4 weeks of the delivery date a $50 deposit (to cover admin fees) will be kept & all other money received will be refunded to you, if you cancel your order within 2 weeks of the delivery all payment received will unfortunately be non refundable.
